Week 41

Moody, passionate, deep and mysterious. As heavy rain covers our studio roof, us cozy inside, I think there couldn't be a better feel to a painting to match the evening.

Each stroke in the fabric careful and yet loose, so to mirror this secret and fervent moment. The air is heavy with the coming storm, yet our lovers are either oblivious or have abandoned care. To them, all that exists is one another.

Painting the night light is very different than the day- cool and blue, shadowy and intriguing. Finding colors to keep the moody feel and keeping life in their cold, passionate skin was our challenge. Painting our lovers, we focused on creating the movement around them in voluminous clouds swirling and the swaying desert fronds as they, enraptured, make time still.

Rain rain. As our clock ticks, hands swirling, time exists outside of us for a moment too. This is our place to lose ourselves. The heavy rain blankets our cocoon. Working, creating, until the timer brings our orbit back to this time zone.
